The living room of our cabin is the entirety of the original cabin built almost 100 years ago.  The logs are chinked with buffalo hide, and we have carefully preserved this while cleaning and caring for the old logs. There is an arched, native rock fireplace with gas log, which provides the coziness and comfort you want on a chilly evening. This large room opens onto a stone porch with adirondack chairs where you can relax and watch the lake change with the weather and time of day, and enjoy the fantastic night skies after dark.  There is a 42 in. TV with soundbar and Dish Network channels and Dish Internet.  At nighttime this huge room becomes a second bedroom with a double size sofa bed with sheets, pillows and blankets provided for you.

And then, over the years, the rest of the rooms have been added so that now there is plenty of room for a family or friends to come together and enjoy.  We have decorated the cabin with a lifetime of collections, to represent the history of the area, such as  American Indian art and artifacts, primitives from the homestead era, the fur trappers, and memorabilia of the old west.

The kitchen is large and fully stocked with everything you need to begin planning meals, from pots and pans, dishes, silverware and untensils to basics such as salt, pepper, sugar, flour, coffee, cooking oil, syrup, salad dressings, ketchup and mustard and many other staples.

We are licensed as a B&B, but instead of offering a meal at a set time and place, we provide fresh food items and cereals so you can have your breakfast on your own schedule. The knotty pine dining area has two large windows which open for breezes and provide views of the trees and wildlife as you have your morning coffee. And, we always start you out with something freshly baked. We provide a propane BBQ just outside the door under a covered area  so you can grill in any weather.

The bathroom has been updated and remodeled recently and features a tub/shower, pine cone decor and lighting, extra shelving to hold your toiletries, and plenty of towels and washcloths for the length of your visit. We provide hand soap, hair dryer and misc. bathroom supplies.

The bedroom is very large with windows on three sides for cross breezes and visual access to all the outdoors.  There is a queen bed and a double bed in this room, and a new ceiling fan/light. There is a large closet with ironing board and iron, extra pillows and blankets,  laundry basket, and various fans. We do provide a rollaway bed for  an extra guest. We do not have air conditioning here in the cabin, as our 5,000 ft. elevation normally generates cool evening breezes, and with screened doors and windows on all sides of the cabin, it is easy to get a cross breeze as needed.  And we have fans available where needed.  You will find that often you will be turning on the gas log fireplace to take the chill off.

In the lower walk-out level you will have access to a washer and dryer, with detergent and dryer sheets for your use.  We also have four bicycles stored in this area for your use while a guest with us.

We have added a firepit for your enjoyment, along with firewood, cooking grate and hot dog forks and even a water hose to be safe when you leave.  There is easy parkiing for two vehicles and close parking area for a trailer. i do need to know ahead if you are planning to bring a trailer however.
