Our Rates, Policies, and other Info.

 Both Stockade Lake Cabin and Hunter's Cabin are open from April 15 through October 25

Unlike the large Vacation Rental Sites, there are no hidden fees or guest fees to use this website.  Just the nightly rate plus South Dakota tax. We also do charge a nominal cleaning fee. However, we do not take credit cards, but are happy to accept checks for your deposit sent via "snail mail" for your deposit and then check or cash for the balance due when you arrive.       

If you would prefer to book and pay online, you can also find us on the vrbo site, listing #760445 for Stockade Lake Cabin or listing #1349230 for Hunter's Cabin, and they have a secure payment system you may use.  Just know ahead that if you choose this option, VRBO will assess a service fee which can be substantial and we have no way to opt you out on that......and you can also go on the vrbo site just to look at more pictures of either cabin.

Stockade Lake Cabin Rates:  

April - May 15

$195.00 per night,  three night minimum.

Summer Rates: May 15 - Sept.30

$215.00 per night,  three night minimum.

 Oct 1- Oct 25

$195.00 per night, three night minimum 

there is a $75 cleaning fee added to your total

RATES ARE FOR UP TO 2 ADULTS, with a $15 charge per night per person over two guests.   I do not accept pets in Sckade Lake Cabin.   We do have to add and remit a  5.7%  South Dakota sales/tourism tax.

If your stay is five (5)or more nights, your last night is 50% off, and if your stay is 7 nights or more, your last night is free, with the exception of Motorcycle Rally week

HUNTERS CABIN RATES

April 15- May 15.........$165 per night with three-night minimum

May 15 - Oct 25.........$175 per night with three-night minimum

there is a pet fee of $40 for your entire stay, and a $50 cleaning fee also.

Rates are for two people which is what I recommend for Hunter's cabin, as there is just a queen bed.  I do have a twin air mattress if you do wish to bring a child or third person, and there is a $15 per night charge for the third person.

We require a 50% deposit to reserve your dates, and accept personal checks, bank checks, money orders for the deposit, with the balance due upon arrival.   We do not accept credit cards at this time.  If you decide to reserve, we email you with all the details, and you just print, sign and mail to us with deposit. If you call or email at the same time as you mail your deposit, we will hold your dates while we await the deposit.

Cancellation Policy: Your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel within 60 days of your arrival, and 50% refundable if you cancel within 30 days of arrival date.  After that, your deposit is not refundable unless we are able to re-rent the cabin, in which case we gladly send your deposit less a $25 bookkeeping charge.  If you must cancel because of medical reasons, please call and we will try to re-schedule your trip or give you a credit for another time.

Stockade Lake Cabin and Hunter's Cabin are non-smoking rentals.  We do have several areas outside available for your needs, one of which is under roof for inclement weather.   Stockade Lake cabin is not open to pets, sorry.  We know you love them, but just does not work for us.  However, Hunter's cabin does allow pets, up to two small or one large pet. The cabin is also not easily wheelchair accessible since there are some steps to reach the main level.  If you have help to get to the main cabin living level, once inside it is workable for handicapped folks.  Call for detailed info on this.
